Once the Games end, an Olympic site does not simply switch off. Temporary infrastructure, equipment and operational services have to leave in the right order while the site becomes progressively smaller, quieter and closer to its permanent condition.
My assignment at the Olympic Village was deliberately focused: lead the dismantling phase, coordinate the remaining contractors and equipment movements, close outstanding operational items and keep control of the handover sequence through the final days.
